    Holy Smokes, do I love Nick Bantock! He is definitely a favorite author and I have no problem recommending him to anyone who loves stunning art or whimsical storytelling. Bantock’s got the magic mixture down! The Artful Dodger is such a great looking book. If you are only familiar with a bit of Bantock’s work you will be in for a treat because this guy has done a lot, and the variety of his stuff will delight you. The book takes you from his days as a book cover illustrator (what a cool job!) to his pop-up books, to the wonderful trilogy Griffin and Sabine and more. But the best part is, it’s also autobiographical. If you have read any of Bantock’s books, why not read the stories behind the art? Get to know the life and career of this great Canadian author. Awesome read. I give this book 10 Egyptian Jukeboxes out of 10. Hurrah!

About the Author

Nick Bantock is the author of the best-selling Griffin & Sabine Trilogy, which has been translated into 12 languages. He is also the author of The Venetian's Wife, published by Chronicle Books. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.
