Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Solution to Holiday Shopping: Buy a Copy for Everyone on Your List! This follow-up to Neil's The Book of Awesome and Even More Awesome, will become a holiday classic read every year! It's focus on the warmth, wonder, and humor of the holidays will leave you smiling and not minding the crowded malls, xmas card writing, and pine needles in the carpet. It leaves you feeling as satisfied as when you have a steaming mug of cocoa snuggled in pajamas after a hard day's sledding...warm and mmmmmmm. Neil once again reminds us that the little things in life are really where it's at. Yeah, life's big events can tumble and rumble us, but the daily small joys, especially at the holidays, make it all worth experiencing. Ho, Ho, Ho! This book makes a terrific holiday gift! A great idea is to give this along with the Calendar of Awesome! I plan to use these as my go-to gifts this season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Merry Awesome! I am a huge fan of the Awesome series, and this one is no exception. The holidays are crazy, busy, crowded, festive....and it is easy to get caught up in the chaos of shopping malls and endless to-do lists. This book lets us sit back with a big 'ol mug of Egg Nog and remember everything that makes this season AWESOME!! Neil's writing is witty, and always makes me laugh. Everything abou this book is just plain AWESOME and I think it would be the perfect gift to have waiting under the tree Christmas morning!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Awesome Neil Pasricha once again, and always, presented the everyday awesome we often over look in our busy, chaotic days. However, this time he did it in the name of holidays! Being the time of year that we are all franticly trying to find friends, family and that special someone that perfect gift for Christmas (which, by the way, this is a highly appropriate gift for all ages) he reminds us to not forget the small, memorable moments in the holiday that execute awesome. After reading The Book of (Holiday) Awesome it got me reared up and ready for the holiday season - especially with all the snow that has fallen, starting this holiday with a big bang. And I must admit, I can be quite the cranky, old man for a 20-year-old female around Christmas, but even Ebenezer Scrooge would bite his tongue and refrain from saying "bah humbug" after reading this. After learning of Neil Pasricha's first book, The Book of Awesome, I have been nothing short of thrilled everytime I hear of a new book being released. Neil Pasricha is just a man trying to spread the awesome across the globe. Just sit back, drink with Grandma, and unbutton your pants after that large family dinner where you ate too much. But don't forget! There is always another holiday just around the corner, so appreciate the smalls things that make each holiday awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome :] Neil's books are truly awesome. They let you notice the little things in life, and he does a fantastic job at pulling you in and could probably get even the grinch to crack a grin. These are books that absolutely anyone can enjoy, kids and adults alike; they'll all find at least one thing they can smile at and agree with. And it being a holiday bookhttp://community.indigo.ca/reviews/create-books-978039915859.html# and all, it would make a fabulous present. I know I'll be gifting his other books this Christmas. Maybe you can all guess why awesome is a word I say a lot ;) ~~ This isn't so much a review as much as it's me praising this book and its author. I had the most amazing opportunity to meet Neil at the Indigo holiday party and he has got to be one of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met. Even though my friend and I were super nervous/excited to meet him he had a way of making us feel a lot more calm and relaxed. He's a person that you just feel comfortable around; you want to stay and chat too because you feel you could have some amazing conversations, and this is a quality that Neil has been able to cross over into his writing I've been following Neil's blog 1000 Awesome Things for a number of years now (he was in the 700's then) and hearing how the idea for the blog came out from a negative experience in his life makes all the little happy moments he's shared even more inspirational. Not only can these awesome moments make you laugh hysterically or reminisce, they also give the reader a sense of belonging, that, "hey! someone else thinks this is awesome too! I totally agree", and let you appreciate the smaller things in life that we sometimes don't take the time to notice, the awesome things. The Book of (Holiday) Awesome is a collection of holiday themed bits of awesome. (Hehe, there's going to be so much awesome in this review!) From putting up the Christmas tree (for me it's the first weekend of December) or having the whole strand of lights work or finally being able to pull out those insanely warm sweaters/socks/scarves that have been hidden away until the next snowfall. Or finding an elusive chocolate egg buried in the sofa cushions from Easter, your cool mom, and the awesomeness that is summer. These moments are the kind that make you all warm and fuzzy inside, especially now with the holiday season approaching. Christmas has got to be my favourite holiday. The hustle and bustle, putting up lights, hauling up those boxes of ornaments from the cave under the stairs, hearing the first Christmas song on the radio! I love it all. For me it's like time slows and there's nothing better than sitting on the couch under a thick blanket with a good book, some tea, watching those classic TV shows like Rudolph or Frosty the Snowman while the Christmas tree glows in the background. It's got me smiling just thinking about it. Review from my blog: http://allofeverythingforyou.blogspot.com/2011/11/review-book-of-holiday-awesome-by-neil.html

About the Book

New York Times"-bestselling author Pasricha reminds readers what's so awesome about the holidays in a beautiful two-color gift book. Strangely heartwarming . . . perfect for rainy days--"The New Yorker".

Read from the Book

Drinking with Grandma It’s time for some intergenerational egg nogging. Get ready to light the Yule log, sail the gravy boat, and get your eighty-five pound grandmother a sloshy glass of rummy nog. Now, whatever your age, whatever your tastes, whatever your pleasures, whatever your fates, let’s all agree on one thing today: Grabbing an occasional festive drink with your mom’s mom or your son’s son bridges boundaries and crosses divides. Once upon a time, your Grandma used to boogie. Once upon a time, your Grandma threw it down. Yes, I’m saying before you danced on tables, she danced on them too. And before you learned to twist off, she was guzzling brews. So when the holidays hit and the families combine, it’s time to bring out the punch bowl and time to have a good time. Because we’re not here forever and we’re not here very long. We don’t get many chances, so toss one back before Granny’s gone. I never knew my grandparents, but I heard stories they were great . . . so I know if they were here we’d party hard before it got too late. AWESOME! Successfully regifting a present to someone who wants it What do cellophane-wrapped mugs of mini candy canes, Season 3 of Mr. Belvedere on VHS, and framed photos of someone else’s dog have in common? They’re just what we never wanted. But that’s okay, that’s okay—because someone else might! Yes, now it’s time for some Regifting Magic, peo
