a famous book yes? a good book? no. In an attempt to relive the lives of pilgrims from the medieviel times, Chaucer has gone for the jugular here and missed completely. If you are going to write a story involving 30 different people, it would be a good idea to introduce a couple of outrageous characters to spice up the tale. I suggest Mr Chaucer cut the narrative and up the tempo in his next novel. More action, less talk !! Guns, Girls and exotic locations are the way to get noticed nowadays Mr. Chaucer. Better luck on your next magnum opus.
