The Dark-Hunter Companion

by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Alethea Kontis

St. Martin's Press | November 13, 2007 | Trade Paperback

Consider this handbook your education.  Hunter 101.  And don''t go thinking you got off easy just because there''s not a pop quiz at the end.  This is the good stuff. The real deal.  In here you''ll find out all there is to know about being a Dark-Hunter.

Now for the disclaimer: This book is mutable. It goes with the wind.  It changes more often than the mind of a sixteen-year-old Gemini with a closet full of clothes and a date in an hour.  Don''t be surprised if you open it up for the thirty-five thousandth time and find something old, something new, something borrowed or. . .well you get the point.

Curl up in a comfy chair with some millennium-old scotch and feast upon the informative banquet I have prepared for your enjoyment.

Welcome to your new life.

I still refer to this handy guide to the world of the Dark-Hunters. This books provides profiles and synopises for all the characters, places, and stories. It's a good mind-jogger as the series gets bigger and more complex.

For someone such as myself who forgets what has happened in the series or who doesn't read the Dark-Hunter books in order (nor have I read them all), this companion is a must.

The companion invites the readers into the Dark-Hunter world as a new Dark-Hunter who is unfamiliar with the 5 Ws (+ the How) of how the world works. The authors make becoming a Dark-Hunter a "humorous experience", if I'm allowed to say so. Complete with lists, quotes and drawings that accompany each chapter, it is not a book that would bore the Dark-Hunter. Actually, the companion is very much the survival guide and I enjoy how the authors address it as such.

If there's ever something a Dark-Hunter fan needs to look up, this is the book with the answers.

This book is a must have for any Sherrilyn Kenyon fan. This book helps fill in the craving for more inside knowledge of the Dark Hunter world. Even though at times it is laid out like a dicationary, not a novel. It is a book that you can not put down. It will be a book that you will read over and over agian and still find something new each and everytime. A recommened read for Sherrilyn Kenyon fans.
