The Discovery of Insulin

This author through years of investigation puts the discovery of insulin with its' trails and tribulations in the context of what it takes to get recognition in the world of medicine. I would sugggest this book to anyone who is a diabetic or in the field of research.

I found this book to be useless and uninformative. Michael Bliss is a horrible author. Go back to school!

Highly recommended. An unsentimental exhaustively referenced treatment of the people and events surrounding one of the most important medical discoveries of the 20th century. A little slow in the early chapters dealing with dog experiments, but overall a fascinating read for anyone interested in medical history or diabetes.
