This is a great book. My kids never get sick of it, and the soothing words lull them as they get ready for bed.

As any parent knows, having a bedtime routine helps get the rugrats settled faster and this book was part of our nightly routine for many years. We have read it so many times, I can still repeat it off by heart (and so can my kid). The bedtime routine of this group of critters closely followed my own little critter's (except who goes up to the roof to exercise right before bed??) and so this story often got told in bits and pieces as we moved from one task to the next ("take a bath in one big tub, with soap all over, scrub, scrub, scrub"..... "with some on top and some beneath, they brushed and brushed and brushed their teeth"). Kids will like the rhyming and the pictures, and the sturdy board book format will mean the book lasts through many, many readings.

    Perfect first bedtime book

This book has become a staple in our bedime book library for two children now. It is perfect first bedtime book for babies, with simple rhymes and easy meter, as it illustrates the classic bedtime ritual of bath, pyjamas, brushing teeth etc. to the point of sleep. The illustrations are also quite fun, making it good for older children (2-3) as well.

This was my son's first "bed time book" It's been 1 year of everyday reading and he still loves it everytime. I enjoy it as much as he does. Keep the fun books coming Sandra!

I LOVE this book, as I love all Boynton's I have read so far....but have just one small complaint - - I don't like how the characters all get ready for bed, then once they have brushed their teeth they all rush out to exercise!! I'd have preferred it immensely if they'd done some other type of quiet activity before bed, and kept the active stuff for earlier in the day. (But then to be fair, I couldn't think of a rhyme that was quite so much fun either). I still highly recommend this book, both for children and for adults....

    Wearing out our second copy!

This was the first book my son received after he was born. Instantly a whole family favorite! He took it everywhere and loved it so well it went to pieces - we had to buy another copy! No matter how 'harum-scarum' he is (19 months old) he will settle down and sit in Mummy's lap to hear this book! Hurrah Sandra Boynton!!!

This is one of my youngest son's favourite books. The illustrations are amusing, the rhymes are fun and don't grate on an adult's nerves, and the over all message of the book - going to bed - is always appreciated by a parent trying to get his/her children to sleep. Even my 4 and 6 year old enjoy reading along when I read it to my youngest. A whole family hit!! (Also, check out Sandra's other book called Dinosaur's Binket which offers more bedtime fun!!!)

My two year old loves this, and other Sandra Boynton books! They are the greatest for early language development and for honest to goodness fun! My son
loves to "rock and rock and rock to sleep"! Your toddlers will too!
