Frank Cotton''s insatiable appetite for the dark pleasures of pain led him to the puzzle of Lemarchand''s box, and from there, to a death only a sick-minded soul could invent. The Hellbound Heart is an absolutely great story, and in my opinion is far superior to the film.
Anybody who is a fan of the original Hellraiser well love this novella.

This book was amazing. I am not much of a reader AT ALL...but I couldn't put this book down...Clive Barker is the man.

Amazing novella! The movie that was based on this novella, "Hellraiser" could NEVER compare to the novella. I have read it 4 times, and I have found something new to excite and please me each time. READ THIS BOOK! You will not be disappointed!

A mind-numbingly horrific novella, written in the same vein as the Books of Blood series. Relentless in its pace, the story doesn't let up until the final blood-drenched page! It's a story of lust and flesh, and how some people go to hell itself in their attempts to fulfill their desires. This book was the basis for the movie Hellraiser and its sequels, and neither the book or the film should be considered by those with heart conditions! Clive Barker is truly the master of horror -- out of the way Stephen King!
