    Impressed
    All I can say is Wow. I was hooked from page 2. The story was just incredible! And trust me, I did not expect this. I havn't read the twilight series, and science fiction really isn't my thing. I literally picked up this book because it was super cheap and came with bonus plum points. But man oh man. Unreal. I LOVED the story and don't even get me started on the characters. I grew so attached to both Wanda and Melanie! I loved their relationship with one another. And a GREAT conclusion! Nothing rattles me more when stories are just left open and have no sense of conclusion. But, this on was fantastic. It's been quite some time since I really picked up a book I did not want to put down, and this one was just about glued to my hand. Very very impressed. It was just one of those stories you could get lose in.

    Better than Twilight?
    I love this book. It's a slow start, mostly because you do not understand anything that is happening. But trust me, get through the slow parts and it really picks up as you are given more information. It is hard to put the book down once it gets good, like Twilight good.

    Not good.
    Honestly, this is one of the worst books I've ever read. Finishing it was a chore. I felt that nothing really made sense, it seemed like nothing ever really happened, and the storyline was not believable. Some parts sounded like a joke to me. It was just bad. And I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I am just in awe of how many people think this book is great. Must be a love it or hate it kind of thing. Guess I'm a hater. I only bought it for the 1000 extra plum points anyway, so I guess it was worth that.

    Totally Thrilling And Better Then Twilight
    First off, If you didn't like twilight there is still a chance that you will love this! This was totally different from Twilight and so much better. The characters were stunning and each done perfectly. They were totally amazing and were thought through really well. They just blew my mind! The plot was amazing. I mean I stayed up till 2am trying to finish this book. The settings were perfect for the plot and made sense. Stephenie Meyer really did well on the timing that everything fell into place in the book. The plot wasn't too fast and it wasn't too slow. It was perfect and the ending didn't seem like it was just thrown in there to end the book. It seemed that she Really took her time to come up with a good ending. I really loved this book. :D

    An amazing storyline
    Personally I thing the writing and the imaginative storyline is her best work even though it's not as well known as her twilight series. The intrigue and suspense are riveting, and it's so easy to become attached to a majority of the characters, especielly Wanderer, (aka Wanda) Jamie, Mel and Jarod. It's a great idea about humans overcoming the worst odds, and their ability to adapt even in the face of being wiped out by an invasive alien race.

    Hard to get into but DON'T GIVE UP!
    So I found this book very difficult to get into and after reading almost 100 pages I just put it down. I am the type of person who can't not finish a book, so about a year later I decided I NEEDED to finish it. I picked it up where I had left off and was engrossed in it immediately. I am not sure if the book is actually hard to get into or if I was just not in the right mood when I started it, but this book turned out to be one of my favourite books! You absolutely fall in love with the characters and the plot. The story is so unique and well written that I could not put it down. Needless to say I am very glad I chose to finish this book.

    Not what I expected
    When I picked up my copy of The Host, I didn't have high expectations. I assumed Meyer was a one trick pony, and this would be a formulaic re-write of Twilight - Boy was I wrong! As it turns out, this is the most original sci-fi/love story ever imagined, and has taken it's rightful place as one of my favorite stories ever. Meyer may never win any literary awards for her writing, but few authors can evoke emotion and make you fall hopelessly in love with their characters like she can. I will revisit this story for years to come.

    Never finished
    I couldn't stand this book. After loving the Twilight series and getting through those books in a day or two (by not sleeping!) I just couldn't get into this book. Some parts are just plain boring and it didn't make alot of sense. I've tried three times to pick it up and finish it and just can't, it feels like punishment!! I don't think I'll ever finish it.
