    "Astonishingly Powerful"
    What a great dystopian tale about a sixteen year old girl named Katniss Everdeen who goes in to fight to the death. With tons of action and endless possibilities, the world of Panem creates a huge generation of a new type of classic novels. The characters are insanely powerful and believable. TheBookReviewer

    hunger games
    This book is by far the best book i have ever read! It is everything you would hope for in an action packed book. The book is extreamly exiting, intense and tons of action. On a scale from 1-5 i would give it a 5 because i love fiction books with action. I would definitely recommend this book to all ages because it has complexity and suspense that would make both the young and the old readers coming back to read more. But i would say for this book it would be 10 and older because of their reading level and the killing.

    Is The Hunger Games Really That Good?
    ‘The Hunger Games’ is an action-packed, adventurous, well-detailed book that I recommend for people at least 10. This book may be mature for younger readers but otherwise, its such an amazing book to read! Its so emotional at parts and breathtaking at others, and leaves cliffhangers at the end of every chapter, forcing you to continue reading. This book is about 16 year old, Katniss Everdeen who volunteers for taking her sister’s place in the annual Hunger Games, where 24 tributes are forced to fight to the death for the Capitol’s entertainment. This book includes action, adventure, drama, romance, sci-fi, and much more, so it has something for everyone. I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars!

    Absolutely great =]
    The hunger games, lots of people said it is very interesting book. Before I borrow this book at the library, I read reviews and those made me to read this the book more. I like the character of Katniss. She doesn't give up under any circumstances, and she never loses her mind to survive. But I feel rather uncomfortable while I was reading this. 24 teenagers have to kill each other to survive in the hunger game every year, just because of the dictatorial government by Capitol. And also this book made me to think a lot of things. Because story reflects our society such as the wealth disparity from the authority, and human cruelty. I read this just for fun at first, but I learned something from this book at the end. The hunger games is best novel! This book is interesting and, what is more, very instructive. It's not only for teenagers!

    Oh, God, No.
    I'm so sorry, but I did not like this entire series (and I did read all three books). I may get some flack after saying this, but it is just one lady's opinion; I found Katniss infuriating, I couldn't stand her character and through each book I detested her more so. Also, I felt as though the author had a page quota that she had to meet, hence the four page description on SOUP or perhaps the outfits or makeovers (that Katniss didn't care about, but that didn't mean we didn't have to hear about it in page after page of painful detail). In anycase, if you want a poorly written, fast paced plot driven series than THESE are the books for you. I, personally, like a little more depth to the characters I read about.

    Fantastic setting
    I absolutely love the idea that this book set in the future but seems almost primitive in the way that they must live and that they are enslaved. Also, Katniss is a wonderful heroine. The love triangle is very interesting as she does not know what is real and what is not and tries to keep herself from getting hurt. Overall great book.

    Action-packed novel!
    I am a homeschooling student and I recieved this book as a birthday present. I started reading it and immediately loved it! There is lots of action going on, and you can follow the main character, Katniss, as she journeys through physical and emotional struggles, competing to survive the Hunger Games. She plays out her relationship with Peeta, a fellow tribute well, and they claim the title of "star-crossed lovers." The suspense, romance and adventure grabbed me, and I am now now on to reading the second book, Catching Fire, and I cannot wait to post a review on that! On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 10! This book is great!

    Think you're "too old" for this? Think again!
    I didn't think I'd like this book. To be honest, I didn't even want to like this book. But once I started, I couldn't put it down. Actually, I couldn't put it down until the end of the 3rd book of the triology. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who has even the slightest interest in a well written series with a great story, intelligent writing, emotional connections with characters, political and social allusions, action, sensitivity, drama, suspense, romance, etc. etc. etc. It really does have it all.

    YA deserves better than this.
    It is not my style to hate books, but I most certainly hated this one. I often find it frustrating when a popular book (Harry Potter, Twilight, 50 Shades) gets bad press because at least people are reading, as well as thinking about and talking about what they've read. I feel very strongly about Young Adult fiction. I have witnessed the thrill of seeing a kid's reaction to, say, Holes or The Giver or Harry Potter. This book does not deserve that. I'll repeat: I absolutely hated this novel. I hate that it exists, and it had nothing to do with its popularity. If something is popular (Potter again), I think I'm fairly good at judging it for its own merits. The Hunger Games has none. It is a video game, told on pages. It is hopelessly violent, poorly-written, lacking in any of the moral diellemmas that the setting calls for. Go somewhere, kill something, get a prize. Repeat. Collins stops just short of giving Katniss a Level Up. I know I am in the minority, and when I express my disdain for The Hunger Games, I often am told that it gets better in the second book. In what world do you read the sequel to a book you hated? A low, low ebb for YA fiction.
