Unfortunate Disappointment

I didn't understand the hype surrounding this book. I felt that Shriver's writing and characters were as grey and rainy as an English night in the spring.

perfect parallels.

this book was wonderful. it explores the what ifs in decision making. ever wonder what would happen if you did one thing instead of another? this book is a great account of just that. two worlds of possibility that are each equally probable. shriver's characters were incredibly convincing - had me jumping back and forth between which character i was rooting for!

I really enjoyed The Post-Birthday World. Lionel Shriver was able to seamlessly transition between both stories treating both equally with a sense of humanity.
