The Power of Prayer

The Power of Prayer

by Dale Salwak

New World Library | October 15, 1999 | Trade Paperback

Testimony to the power of prayer comes from every era, every belief system, every walk of life. Often, however, people have never learned how to put prayer to work. This book will help show them the way.

Dale Salwak solicited the thoughts of a wide range of contributors including former president Jimmy Carter, Reverend Billy Graham, Sue Bender, Brooke Medicine Eagle, and Mother Teresa. The result is The Power of Prayer, a compendium of enlightening reflections on the meaning, value, and techniques of prayer. Genuine prayer, say these voices, is not formality, nor a psychological trick, nor obligation, nor wishful thinking. It is communicating with God.
