The premise of the story is originally what caught me, but as I read, I realised that there was actually a previous novel before this. Because I had no idea, as I got further into the novel, it became confusing, especially when the point of views changed so radically from first person to third without much reason. The plot was pieced together, and near the end, it seemed rushed to me.
