This is a Canadian play about 7 aboriginal women who's big goal in life is to win the "biggest bingo in the world"!! Yes I am serious. The play looks at the ups and downs of living on a reserve but Highway put the aboriginal humour on it. It would be great to see this play perform! This is a nice, quick, light read.

From Our Editors

Tired of losing at Bingo, a group of seven sisters band together to beat the system and secure their financial future. Evoking the harsh realities and impossible dreams that come to life on Canada's Native reserves, The Rez Sisters is at once witty and disturbing. It captures the true nature of reserve life in its strange contradictions of old and new, tradition and distress. Tomson Highway, a Native Canadian from Northern Manitoba, brings these women to life in a play you'll want to stage as soon as you've finished reading it.
