Alexi and Anastasia survived the massacre? There were seemingly 2 bodies missing from that pit dug up from the 90's, which DNA tests show to be that of the royal family. And so this author picks up the fascinating plot and weaves his magic......riddles a la Da Vinci Code, double cross, murder and mayhem. Typical Steve Berry. Another must read.

It was an entertaining, easy read. If you are interested in a more in-depth and better written fact/fiction novel, then I would highly recommend the Historian by Elizabeth Kostova.

Interesting idea on Romanov dynasty

Very intriguing book based on the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 and the subsequent murder of Russia's royal family. I think I enjoyed the romantic possibility, that this book explores, of 2 of the Tsar's children actually surviving and also the idea of a Tsar being reinstated in Russia. I have to admit, I had to suspend disbelief more than once while reading this; for instance, I wondered just how many times the main character, Miles Lord, could escape/survive attempts to kill and torture… + read more

I found this book when I was in my english class one day. Previous to noticing the book, I read "The Third Secret" by Steve Berry and thought it was the best book I have ever read. Now, after reading "The Romanov Prophecy" I am a Steve Berry fan for life. I just received "The Amber Room" for christmas and I can not wait to read that! I love it.

Thrilling and Accurate - FANTASTIC!

Based in the United States and Russia, the people of Russia have elected a 17 member tsar commission to elect a new tsar of all Russia. However, many of these elected members have been "purchased" to select a particular candidate. One man - Miles Lord - has discovered information about a possible surviving heir, based on writings by Vladimir Lenin and Alexandra. Only the "raven and the eagle" can locate this possible heir. A thrilling and accurate novel, I must say.

Goodbye Dan Brown and hello Steve Berry. I've read all of Brown's novels but not one of them captured me into reading it in one night. I finished this book in 4 hours and since then i have read it 3 times. Mr. Berry I am your fan!

Intresting Concept and Execution

Not a bad read, it certainly swallowed a few of my nights. This was the first Steve Berry novel I read and it made me check out his other works. Well paced and a good balance of dialogue and narration, I recommend this novel to anyone who enjoyed The Da Vinci Code or any other adventure book. Cheers!

if you loved the Davinci Code and Angels and Demons you will love this book. Lots of action twists and turns. made me want to learn more about the underlying history .
