The book is based on over simplified concepts... any idiot with less than a high school education could have writen it!!!! What on earth are the people of today reading?

This book was recommended to me by a few people and finally managed to pick it up. I certainly recommend this for people looking for something to help strengthen the mind and heart. It's inpsiring to have a book re-direct you to pump joy, happiness and energy into your life. While it left me a bit with a 'religious taste' ... it does state this is a 'way of life'; it reminded to me to see the world as glass half full... and get back on the optimistic track. Be the change you want to see!

Creating your future using your thoughts, who are magnetic in nature, pulling other thoughts having the same frequency. The idea being that the more positive you are, more positive thoughts come in, and your life reflects your thinking. Then you use your feelings to guide you. Subjects include dreams becoming reality, focus, thinking positive, gratitude, visualization, expectation, time, wealth, love, mind shifters, health, etc...

Have you read this book and still find yourself confused or feeling like you're missing something? That's because this book (and its movie counterpart) was severely edited like many books over the years removing "the secret" that this book was originally based on. The Secret was originally inspired by the work of Esther and Jerry Hicks and the Teachings of Abraham. Esther was in the first edition of the Secret movie but after some distribution changes the Hicks' original contract was in conflict with that and so they chose to be edited out completely rather than sign over their intellectual property rights. Search for their material and you'll get the answers that this book was supposed to provide to you.

I borrowed this book from the library (Thank god I didn't pay for it!) and now am ashamed to return it in person after reading the entire book! (Yes I bothered to continue reading it because I couldn't believe that a pure insult to the intelligence of the readers can be marketed so successfully!) The main idea which has been claimed as a secret is not a secret at all. The effectiveness of positive thinking is part of a common human wisdom. All the so called 'secrets' in the book could be placed on a single tablet of Moses. Even one can save time just by reading the summary sections at the end of each chapter. No where in the book it is mentioned that one need to do hard work in addition of wishful/positive thinking in order to achieve wealth, health and fame! (Even the so called writers in the book had to do some hard work to market this garbage successfully!) Can anyone explain how come all of her readers win a Lotto jackpot in their lifetime just by visualizing it? In my opinion, this book will only be helpful for those people who have no hope left in any sense (terminaly ill patients, for example) And it's a great tool for right wing capitalist governments to suppress possible social unrest due to discrimination and inequality--because the book says, the victims are always to be blamed for their negetive thinking! One shouldn't even be engaged in any 'anti' protest (anti-war, for example), all we are allowed to do is 'pro-peace' activism! Even Gandhi would find this approach useless. However, I would say the methodology will only work if every one in earth will follow it. But before that, what ideology will solve all the conflicts in the world? The formula can best be described as an outcome, not a means or way. Finally, to remain faithful to Rondha Byrne's core idea, I wouldn't say don't buy this book, but just hope for something better from Rhonda in future! For those who already bought it, I would tell them to visualize that they have got a cheque automatically in their mailbox from Rondha Byrne as a refund--If Rhonda is part of this universe, she shouldn't be able to ignore the law of attraction, right? Now it's your turn to prove your point Rhonda!

Enter an undertaking hoping and working hard to make it successful? Good for you. Expect that your attitude can alter external reality? That's just crazy. It is difficult to express just how awful this book is. Very high among her many, many egregious errors are the ones Byrne propagates by butchering science. It is evident that she has either never read a book on quantum physics (upon which she heavily relies) or if she did so, she did not comprehend a word. Nonetheless, she hides her twaddle behind a smokescreen of 'sciency' words, evidently hoping to apply a veneer of epistemic validity to hide the vacuity of her thesis. It is not just success that can be attracted to you by your thoughts, but defeat as well. For example, Byrne has claimed that disasters like the 2006 tsunami could only occur to people who were “on the same frequency as the event”. How odd that they all lived in close proximity to the Indian Ocean. Other inescapable conclusions are that only those with negative thoughts get cancer, those starving children in Darfur just don't visualize food well enough, and that the Jews in Europe during the second World War must just have been a negative lot. And I guess those nice Enron folks must have stopped all of the positive thinking that brought them their early success. This is not just delusional, it's dangerous. Please read Barbara Ehrenreich's excellent "Bright-Sided" for a clear-headed look at just how dangerous it is.

The basis for this book is the power of positive thinking. The overall message is to provide the audience with the sense of accomplishment which can be achieved through optimism and positive thinking. I think this book is pretty great for those who don’t always see the world in a positive light but I must say that some of the stories are way too out there for me. For those of you who haven’t read the book already, you aren’t really missing much… but it is still good to check out.

I really liked this book, anybody that can actually read this book and use the inspiring effects of this book to change their lives. I read this book and took heed in what I read and actually put out the energy and optomism in this book and the rewards were greatly recieved.

The power of positive thought is really the whole basis for this book. Being a natural Doubting Thomas some of the stories were too out there for me but the overall message is one I try, with varying degrees of success, to live by.

We have magazines, websites and teaching tools to help us begin any type of garden, tips for the novice to the experienced gardener, gadgets and gismos some helpful, others not so much. A mayonnaise product has begun a ‘real’ campaign, encouraging urban gardens. Farmers for years have been providing substance for us all to enjoy for years. Some gardeners pour over catalogues’ for just the right seeds, they plan, plant and tend their gardens carefully. There are contests for the largest pumpkin, the tallest sunflower and so many more. My question is; wouldn’t it be great if people paid as much attention, time and detail to their “life’ garden? Imagine if you could pick your life seeds? What would you plant? Would you make sure the soil was rich and tend to it daily? Would you watch it sprout with joy and magick? Would there be a ‘owweee’ when you taste the sweet flavor’s of your garden for the first time? You can! You truly can have a life’s garden. You can pull out the weeds and plant a patch of you in this world the way you want it, plant success, plant happiness, plant love. Plant health and wisdom, you truly can have what ever your dream is. If you have been sick-and-tired- of being sick-and-tired, if you have been praying for ‘something’- ‘anything’ to help you change your life; I highly recommend the book and DVD- The Secret by author Rhonda Byrne- it just may be the beginning of your life’s garden.
