    Converted Taoist

    I admit I was a twenty
    something...with a whinnie the pooh
    problem. That's why I originally
picked up this book, several years
    ago.
    B. Hoff really put life into perspective
for me. He so cleverly related the
    meanings of the most important
    meditatons and intertwined them into
    A. Miline's character's as if they
    belonged. Gradually, taoism
    happened into
my life. Now my life is all kinds of
balance, and chaos, as life seems to
have. This book is kind of one of
those items that becomes a well
loved treasure, a security blanket if
you will, with tattered corners and
spilled water stains. This is what it
has become for me, And to think it
    all
started with one silly ol' bear...

To be honest, I am not a big "Winnie the Pooh" fan, and I was going to put this book down after the first 30 pages, but I am thankful that I kept reading. Benjamin Hoff does a fantastic job of explaining Taoism in an easy to read, intellectually stimulating format. There are some real pearls of wisdom in this book and the application of these concepts will definitely impact your life. A must read.

Being at a point in my life where I am going through a bit of a spiritual awakening, I have been searching for worthwhile sources of wisdom. I have found unfortunately that many can leave you unfulfilled. The Toa of Pooh is rather like a sunset. It may seem very simplistic at first but when one takes the time to stop and truely appreciate it, the benefits are priceless. This book is a fantastic place to start or continue on a path to personal growth...a journey that never truely ends. Things are often so much simpler than we make them out to be in this unrelenting life of ours; Pooh will show you how much fun it can be to slow down and enjoy a jar of honey. This book is worth every minute you will spend reading it and the many hours you will spend reflecting on it.
