This is a fabulous book. It has so many twists and turns you don't know where the story is going. Ben is a clerk for the Supreme Court of the United States - a so-called tenth justice because of the power clerks can wield in making the decisions. He is tricked into giving away some information about an upcoming case - a huge no-no obviously. He gets his roommates and co-clerk Lisa Marie to try to help him trap the culprit. It has tons of action, realistic legal feel, and is tons of fun. I have really liked all of Brad Meltzer's books but I think this one, his first, is still my favourite.

After reading Meltzer's first novel, I doubt he will ever become a lawyer. Not because he doesn't know law well, but because he will probably make more money fictionalizing the genre than practicing it. Fast paced and likeable characters, without the typically predictable ending. Definitely an author on the rise.
