I love this book. I always have. The poor rabbit is a loyal friend
and Real to his little boy. His grown-ups, after the boy fights a
long bout of scarlet fever, decide that everything in the boy's
room must be burned. Thankfully, the Nursery Magic Fairy saves him.
I won't say more as it is a true joy to read even as an adult. It's
just a good, loving memory of childhood for me. Definitely a
must-have for any small child's library. I own the paperback and
the hardcover.
Oh.. and I mustn't forget. This is my favorite version due to the
artwork by Donna Green. If you don't fall in love with the story
right away, the pictures themselves will take you away to a more
innocent time. A definite must-see.
