    Unreal zombie series

    I'll admit I didn't pick this up until I had watched the Walking Dead tv series. I'm happy to see that the television show borrows a lot from the comics. Having already see the series I was not at all disappointed by the comics, even though I already knew what happened. The story is very interesting and the characters are well developed. The art work is very well drawn, and I like how it is drawn in black and white. This is definitely a 19+ story.

    This volume follows Rick Grimes as he wakes up from a coma into a world filled with zombies. He tries to get to Atlanta to see if he can find his wife and child.

    Redefines the Zombie Genre!

    Robert Kirkman's "The Walking Dead" has redefined the zombie genre and while there have been many imitators of late, all fail miserably compared to this series. The story is just as much, if not more, about the group of survivors interacting with each other as it is about the zombie threat lurking around every corner. You will care about these characters. This hardcover is a wonderful addition to any bookshelf. The oversize format showcases the art beautifully and collects issues #1 - 12 and has some nice bonus features at a very affordable price. I already own the tpb's and will be picking up volume 2 and 3 in this format.
