This is the first “pirate” story I have read and I really enjoyed it. The story was short and made for a quick read but it was packed with adventure and action on the high seas. The characters were well developed and Annalisa made for a strong heroine. She’s willing to whatever it takes to track down James Sterling and get her father’s treasure back. James character surprised me. I didn’t really know if he was good or bad cause he kept flip flopping back and forth. He starts developing feelings for Anna and you can see that he cares for her which leads the reader to think that he’s going to be helping her. But then you find out that he’s keeping secrets and planning something secret on the side. Fortunately James made the made the right decision at the end. There was a predictable love triangle between Anna, James and Nathaniel. It was pretty oblivious who Anna was going to end up with. Still as I was reading, I kept thinking that things could get ugly if Nathaniel didn’t give up Anna. I’d recommend this book for those looking for a light and fun action packed romance—and if you’re a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean then you will like this book too.

This was a great little novel. A bit too short for my liking, but it was still a wonderful read. The romance wasn't over-done, and the story was well written. There were lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing.

I bought this book due to the great ratings and reviews it had, and I'm glad I bought it. The book is very well written and researched. There are many twists in the story. I found the romance in the novel to be the cute and tempting sort, because it talks about two people who can't be together. So even when James and Anna are attracted to each other, they have to do their best to stay away. Which added a tempting feeling to the story. I felt the ending should've lasted one more chapter, maybe because I was hoping for a little more romance <3 The concept of Pirates was refreshing, and the cover is beautiful :) Totally worth buying.

First off, I definately agree with the previous reviews. This is a very cute, fluffy, teen romance. It is very simple, yet one doesn't feel disappointed by that fact. It's simplicity is what makes the book. Annalisa is a governor's daughter. Or at least she would be if their ship hadn't been attacked by pirates. Now her father's in jail because the English crown thinks he was in league with the very pirates that looted them. So, Annalisa determined to get revenge, and clear her mind and heart of all memories of a certain pirate who stole a kiss, forges a marque and hits the high seas. She's on the look out for Crimson Kelly, and the dastardly James Sterling. But once she catches James Sterling, she learns that he's really the one who has her...

This is a romance novel between a pirate and a governor's daughter. However, it was a very light, passionate, and sweet romance. It wasn't an intimate book yet it was very passionate which took a different side for romance novels. Moreover, I really like this book. I think it's simplicity is what I liked about it the most and how in the end both James Sterling or Annalisa Townsend gave thier lives for one another and yes it is a happily-ever-after, lol which made the book even sweeter to me knowing that they end up together as well. All in all, it was a great read and I'd totally recommend it to anyone that loves a nice passionate romance novel. Happy reading! :)

This was a great book from beginnig to end with never a dull moment. If you are looking for a quick and easy read this is the book for you.
