I loved that there are so many secrets, but that some things are made more clear at the same time. Not much action, but it's a perfect sequel to Fallen and once I finished Torment, I couldn't wait to start Passion. I'm dreading finishing Rapture and having nothing left to read of Lucinda and Daniel!

there was so much secrets that lead to even more secrets. i really liked the ending, it really makes me wnat to read the last book. i think that it didn't really have a lot of action, but i think that it's better like this, the first one had a lot of action and it lead me to this book. i know i will like the next book. also, i love the auther, i think that every situation is perfectly discribed and that every situation is perfectly thought out. i know i am goig to love the last book and of course i will wright a review on it.

Torment starts right where Fallen left off. Secrets from Daniel are once again the theme for this book. You spend the entire time trying to connect the dots with all that is being kept from Luce. Luce is a bit frustrating in this book as she seems to have lost a bit of her strength and comes across as needy, she also bounces back and forth from loving Daniel to losing faith in him and not trusting that what he’s doing is for her. Instead she contemplates someone else throughout the story which can be a little annoying. There was less action in this instalment but it taught us a lot more about the big picture as well as introduced a lot of important characters. The ending was great but left us hanging once again. Make sure you have book three waiting in the wings.

A little less action than within the first book, Luce gets herself twisted up within love! Meeting new friends, new enemies, and getting led into traps, Luce can't seem to handle herself as much as she could in the first book. I still reccomend this book though!

Again another beautiful cover and again the story inside does not disappoint. This series is addictive. Not only do you want to see how Daniel and Luce battle through their undying love for each other, you want to know what is it that makes Luce so special. Why she is the one to go through so many lives, to be reincarnated so many times with no memory and why is Daniel so secretive about the past and keeping so many secrets from Luce. Carrying straight on from the previous novel this book focuses a lot on Luce trying to get to grips with events both recent and from her past lives. She rightly begins to have mixed feelings over Daniel, how does she know that what he's told her is the truth? Being thrown in a new school which is just as strange and secretive as Daniel doesn’t help in this matter. However Luce begins to become more independent and begins to discover things about he past and things about herself and what she is capable of. Some of the questions from the first book were answered however for every answer we got, twenty more questions were raised. Nothing is simple in these books. Lots of twists and turns and an ending that will leave you shocked and speechless. “Hell on earth. That's what it's like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel. It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts-immortals who want to kill Luce. This book and series are absolutley awesome! They are breath taking and well you literally lose yourself in these books. Lauren Kate is a REALLY good author!!! Can't wait to read the 4th book!!

These books look absolutely gorgeous as far as covers go, I'll give it that much, but the story line is by far one of the weakest I've ever come across. Not only is nothing explained throughout the first two books, the characters aren't developed at all and the author seems to be rushing through the entire book at such a fast rate it gives the reader no time to really enjoy the story. I was personally extremely disappointed in this series. I expected much more, and less of an amateurish writing style. The only book that beats this as far as crummy stories and mindless characters go is the Twilight franchise which is by far the biggest literary embarrassment I have ever come across. In all honesty, I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who didn't like reading about sparkling vampires either. I would have to give it a 1.5 out of 5. Not the worst I've read in my entire life, but I would never buy it or read it again.

This book has definitely tormented me. Tormented me with the suspense, mystery, love, and doubts. I loved this series to death now, and I had doubts about it, but those are gone now. The mystery between Luce and Daniel's past is hinted at, which makes me thirst for the next novel. (Which came out yesterday, sadly cannot find a PDF.) The love between Luce and Daniel is so romantic, that all good things need a twist. I have fallen in love with all of Luce's love interests, that I don't even know what to believe in anymore. As soon as I can find Passion's PDF I will be reading rapidly to see what happens next.

I found Torment to be a little bit better than Fallen but it still didn’t have that wow factor for me. I liked being able to read about Daniel and his adventures away from Luce. I also liked how we got to learn more about Luce being able to see her past life and learn more history about the world of fallen angels. I liked the new characters that Lauren created in this series; I found that I was able to relate to these characters more than the characters in Fallen. Each of these characters has an interesting past that was neat to learn and I can’t wait to learn more about the new characters. As the series continues I find the next book to be better so I have some faith that Passion may just blow me away with the telling of Luce and Daniels past lives. This book sat on my shelf for a while collecting dust until I finally grabbed it in an effort to "git 'r' done," While it took me a few chapters for me to actually remember what had exactly happened in Fallen seeing as it's been several months since I finished it. I quite enjoyed Torment. I love the new twist on Luce & Daniel's relationship and how she actually starts to question whether or not it's what she wants. The new additions to the storyline in the form of Shelby, Miles, Frankie and Steven are wonderful. I'm interested to see what happens in Passion.
