As told by: Janet Evanovich

St. Martin's Press | May 29, 2007 | Mass Market Paperbound

That Mancuso is distantly related to vice cop Joe Morelli--who is trying to beat Stephanie to the punch--only makes the hunt more thrilling..

Taking pointers from her bounty hunter pal, Ranger, and using her pistol-packing Granda Mazur as a decoy, Stephanie is soon closing in on her mark. But Morelli and his libido are worthy foes. And a more sinister kind of enemy has made his first move.and his next move might be Stephanie''s last.

Unfortunately I think I preferred the first book, One for the Money, to this sequel. However, that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy this book. I had just as much fun following the misadventures of Stephanie Plum, Bounty Hunter Extraordinnaire, as I did in the first one. I suppose the Joe Morelli storyline was just more interesting to me than the Kenny Mancuso one. That said, I really liked getting to see more of the Steph/Morelli relationship and all its complications. And of course I loved getting a bigger introduction to Stephanie's family (whom I kind of want to adopt me, by the way).

I'll definitely be sticking with this series. And after book three I'll be buying the box sets. If I'd known I was going to fall for this character and this series so quickly I would have done that from the get-go and saved a bit of money!

I want to say this better than the first book but the first book is always hard to beat because it introduces you into a new world. However, if this book did not beat the first it was the same!

There was more sexy Morelli and more sexy Morelli hitting on Stephanie which just about made my day.

Stephanie Plum is the worst Bounty Hunter in the world but at least she is not trying to play the part and acting like she knows what she is doing while she becomes the biggest pain in the butt for everyone.

Evanovich sure knows how to write a book. A little but more Morelli here, some nakedness there, a bit of crazy, and a dash of sarcastic humour and it makes a great series.

    Laugh out loud funny

Two for the dough is the second instalment of the Stephanie Plum series. Just like in the first book, Evanovich delivers laugh out loud moments, suspense and great characters.

In this book, we get to see more of old Grandma Mazur. I think Grandma Mazur is one of my favourite characters, she is hilarious, unpredictable and always looking for action. (…You got to ask yourself one question. Do you feel lucky today? Well do you, punk?) Grandma Mazur is absolutely priceless! She also posses quite a lot of knowledge that she has acquired while spending endless hours watching tv. As our main characters and their relationships develop further, Moreilli and Stephanie resume their partnership. These two maintain complex relationship which lacks trust. It seems they're always out to get each other, yet they can't keep away from each other.

Bad a** bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is starting to get the hang of things when her latest FTA turns out to be another psycho, who doesn't feel pain. Unfortunately for Stephanie she isn't the only one after Mancuso. Our favourite cop Moreilli, who also happens to be Mancuso cousin, is out to find him before she does. As they compete to capture Mancuso, Stephanie will need all the help she can get, even the help of an old women. As Stephanie and Grandma Mazur fallow some leads, they will have you laughing your head off with the predicaments they put themselves in. Grandma Mazur is proving to be better than just disturbing the dead as she uncovers an important clue (I guess watching TV really pays off!).

I couldn't put this book down. It had me up until the wee hours of the night laughing by myself!

I've only recently discovered the Stephanie Plum series, but I'm totally addicted. In Two For the Dough, the bad guys are scary, the good guys are bad, and Grandma Mazur is flat out hilarious. I would have liked to see more of Ranger's character, but this was a minor complaint.

These books are brain candy with bite.

This is a hilarious series, and don't worry you will get to see more of Ranger in the future.

Once again we are reunited with Stephanie and her gang of friends and family. Just like the first I couldn't put the book down until it was done, all the crazy situations Stephanie finds herself in are very funny. Grandma Mazur plays a key part in helping Stephanie out this time and she is just as crazy as Stephanie, now we know where Stephanie gets it from.

This is a gem of a book. Developing the characters from One for the Money. You'll laugh out loud at the antics of bounty hunter Stephanie Plum and her grandma Mazur. A wonderful series.

I think the problem for me is that this one was not as funny as the first. One for the money had me peeing my pants, it was so funny. This time the only funnies were from Grandma Mazur and Stephanie's mom. Plus I really wanted Joe and Stephanie to bang. They came close, but no cigar.

In this book Stephanie is after a guy who shot his best friend. Kenny, the bad guy, has jumped bail. With help from Joe and Grandma, Stephanie is on the job.

Our girl still can't keep out of trouble. She gets into a fight with the tramp who her ex husband cheated with, her apt is vandalized (again) She is sent a penis in the mail. Oh, Granny and Mrs. Plum were funny when that happened! Stephanie still sucks as a bounty hunter, but she gets help from Ranger, and of course, Joe is always there sticking his nose in things.

I didn't like how Kenny attacked Grandma Mazur, not once but twice! I can't handle it when old people are abused. It really bothers me. I agree that it was fitting for someone close to Stephanie to suffer some sort of backlash because of her job. I just wish it had been written differently.

    Overall, still a great read.

Hurray for Stephanie Plum, she is one of the most amusing, cynical and readable characters to emerge in literary circles in a long time. Stephanie is in ‘law enforcement’ she tells her mother to say when she is too ashamed to tell her friends what her daughter does. Stephanie is a bounty hunter. She brings in bail absconders for the bond money. This time she is after Kenny Mancuso, wanted for shooting his best friend. Stephanie is from a dysfunctional family, though it might be more accurate to say she is a dysfunctional single, with a dysfunctional her grandmother. Cop, Joe Morelli, is a possible romance element. He is also Mancuso’s cousin (everyone seems to be related to everyone else in this part of New Jersey). This series is so enjoyable I am reading them again.

Stephanie Plum - bounty hunter extraordinaire - is once again on the case, this time tracking down an ex-Marine who shot his best friend. Not someone to be content with solving just one case, she must also track down a shipment of missing caskets, while holding off the advances of a lecherous undertaker. You'll also be reunited with characters from Evanovich's previous book, One for the Money. This is a hilarious series.

These stories are based on the character Stephanie Plum, and she is so similar to Grafton's main character that you'd think that either Stephanie and Kinsey are sisters, separated at birth, or that Grafton is writing under another name. Where Kinsey is a PI, Stephanie is a bail bond agent. They both care little for men, relationships and their appearance. Where Kinsey has little family to speak of, Stephanie has a quirky family with a nosey, know-it-all mother, a passive father, and a grandmother to die for. The humour in these books is so "Sue" that you forget you are reading books written by someone else.
