'Two Solitudes' not only explores Paul Tallard's journey or delivers a message of tolerance, it make a strong point concerning the goings-on in Canada, specifically between French and English people. MacLennan avoids favouring one over the other and succeeds in portraying what we all look for in a book of this kind: reality.
