A friend recommended it to me and I decided to give it a try, I couldn't get into it throughout the 5 chapters, but when I passed it I was sucked in! I couldn't put it down and I read the whole series up to moonsong and It is Amazing! I strongly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a book to read because this certainly delivers!

    Vampire Diaries

The supernatural aspect of this book is really pushed to its limits and it was a struggle to get through a few of the books because of the characters. I cannot relate to some of the characters because I feel they are childish and wouldn’t act as I would. Listening to Elenas’ thoughts about how she feels about Stefan just sounds immature and cannot always relate to older readers such as myself. The book itself has a good story-line about the supernatural living in a human world; however it starts to get confusing towards the end. I really had to slow down and think about what I was reading to understand and picture the scenes. I would not recommend this series; I am only continuing to read them because I’ve read almost the whole series.

It definitely wasnt bad but i found it slow and it dragged in some places. It has an overall good plot but i felt you could have written that entire 2 books in like 10 chapters.

I have not seen the show and have no comment on the relation between the text and show. But based on the book i dont want to watch the show
