    Wow... how far you gonna drag it out?
    Wing powers? Kistune? This is getting more and more ridiculous and hard to understand and follow. It's like multiple people writing a book without even checking points with each other. Criss crossing myths and legends and seriously just too much going on. Compare it to the first few books- she might as well have just started a brand new series with different characters it's so far off. This series was so great when it first started, you know, when it was placed in the 80's and now magically it's some how modern day. I am so glad the TV show doesn't follow the books so strictly. The ONLY reason I read this one is because I have hope for the next one being done by a ghost writer. I am hoping it will either reboot or greatly revive this series.

    The Last Midnight
    I thought the concepts were good. The scenes in the book were workable. Sometimes, I got confused as to who was where in the scene but I managed to pick up again. One thing that was horrendous was the dialogue. I felt like an absolute idiot reading the text. It flowed unrealistically. I couldn't even picture the characters speaking the sentences. As a reader, you're going to get mad at what happens to Damen and you're going to be really annoyed at the whole Wing of "Blank" crap. I know I was. The whole return trilogy is just so different from the original series. The only interesting parts are the Saitou's and the Kitsunes foxes. The whole Elena gang has lost its appeal to me.

    Sooo hard to put down!
    I never wanted Midnight to end I considered stopping towards the end because it drove me crazy knowing all future books would be by a ghost writer. I saw this on L.J. Smiths website and she asked us to help spread her message. “I fought tooth and nail to write those books--I fought until my agent wouldn't support me, when she said I would be sued and she wouldn't fight with me anymore, and I WROTE Phantom. But instead of edits what I got back was a letter to Clare the ghostwriter telling her to completely change my book. I HAD NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER. I was deceived by Alloy and got no support from Harper.” I think people that were hoping for a Delena endng will be a bit disaointed but there is some hope left. Unfortunaely I've heard the ghost write will pretty much do whatever the publisher wants so whether we get a delena, bamon, stelena ending won't really matter because it won't be the TRUE ending.

    Leaves you wanting more!
    Again LJ Smith did a killer(no pun intended) job !! I must admit I was waiting for a long while for this one, and it was worth every minute. But this one too leaves me wanting more! I cannot wait for the next to find out what happens. It was wonderfully written and I am happy to await the next one! :)

    Not the greatest book....
    I have to say as far as the VD books go, this was my very least favorite. Alot of things were rushed and didnt really make sense. The only reason i bought this book was becuase i wanted to find out what happened to Damon after his " condition" from the previous book. It was very uninteresting and did not hold my attention.

    2.5 stars A Little Dissapointed
    So I'm not to sure exactly how I feel about this book on one hand I thought some parts were really good ( mainly Damon and Elena scenes ) but on the other hand this was a kinda boring book and that really upsets me. Knowing that this was going to be the last Vampire Diaires book that L.J Smith wrote herself ( because she got fired from writing the series ) I think I was just hoping for more of a bang to this book. Overall the series has been very up and down for me I'll like one book not so much the next I just think it's inconsistent. So again some things I really enjoyed I'm happy that some of the events have been wrapped up and I think that if L.J Smith wanted she could have ended the series here but because of the ending ( which I did not like very much ) it leaves open ends. I'm sorry if this seems like a very mixed up review I just feel all over the place with this book. I'm not sure how the rest of the books are gonna go or if I read them because it's no longer going to be the true author, I guess we will see. :0)

    Amazingly great, yet sad.
    A lot of people have been nervous about this book because of .. Well pretty much this trilogy, I've enjoyed the trilogy very much. It's different then the original series, but I haven't really minded that much. Although there was a lot of loose ends, which I'm sure L.J. was going to continue with in the next trilogy, now I don't really know what's going to happen since they fired her. But all in all, I liked this book very much. Except I didn't exactly like Elena until the end.
