    Another Vampire lovestory

The idea behind Vampire Knight is really great. A school is shared between Humans and Vampires. Yuuki and Zero are the guardians of the school who must ensure that the Human day students, never find out that the night students are Vampires.

At times, the story repeated itself, at least once per chapter we are reminded of the schools secret; that the Night Students are Vampires and that Yuuki and Zero are the guardians

This was the first book I have read that kept with the Japanese style of right to left reading. It was a lot easier than I expected and flowed very naturally. It is a quick and easy read for anyone looking for another twist on a Vampire story.

I am so glad that this was recommended to me, I always had a hard time picking a manga series to start reading because there are so many and they all look great. So when I heard this was a good one to read, I picked up the first volume, and I am SO GLAD that I did! Vampires and Manga is one great combination, it left me hooked right from the start. The characters are awesome, and the plot is great...
Cross Academy is where this series takes place, kids either attend; the Night Class or the Day Class...
We meet Yuki, and Zero at first, they are guardians who are the only ones in the Day Class that know about the Night Class's secret.. they have to do everything thing they can to protect this secret and keep the Day Class from knowing. The Night class consists of extremely good looking guys and beautiful girls, but their secret is that they are all Vampires. So Yuki and Zero must do what they can to protect this hidden truth...
We also meet Kaname, he's the mysterious guy who saved Yuki ten years ago from a Vampire attack... he is the dorm leader of the Night Class. Yuki is adopted by the Chairman at Cross Academy, along with Zero, he also was attacked by Vampires when he was young, he lived but his family died. Yuki has known Zero ever since they were little, she aided him after the attack. She believes that Vampires and Humans can live in peace with each other, but since the attack, Zero disagrees...

This was a great start to the series, and I defiantly recommend it!! There's romance, action, thrill, suspense and Vampires...I cannot wait to read the second volume, along with the rest of the series!

A nice quick read. Illustrations are excellent. Story is very intriguing.
The heroine (Yuki) is adorable. Zero is so full of angst that makes you feel for him! Kaname is mysterious and dark, makes you want to know more about him.
    Very addictive reading.
