    Not quite funny
    I'm sure many people would find this book funny, but the title is inappropriate. I don't think punching an animal is something to be joked about. To me, it would be like having a book about punching babies, and I know that would be considered offensive. Animal abuse isn't funny because it happens all too frequently. The entry about punching dolphins is inaccurate - dolphins don't spend their whole lives playing. They spend them fleeing nets from the fishing industry and waste from cruise ships. They're not always smiling, either. I know it makes us think they're happy, but their lives are tough. I feel so bad for them...I just wish this part wasn't in the book.

    Comedic Genius
    Matthew Inman knows how to make people laugh. “5 Very Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in the Mouth” compiles some of his best cartoons from the last few years into an easy to read book that is sure to make you laugh time and time again. Inman features a number of hilarious approaches to top ten lists and how-to’s in comics such as “How to use a semicolon: The most feared punctuation on earth” and “6 reasons bacon is better than true love”. In addition to it sparking great conversation as a coffee table book, it includes a fantastic centerfold so you can show off just how much you love his adventures in comedy.

    Best Book Ever
    I have friends that look at reading for fun as the most hainus idea on the planet and they loved this book. Great gift idea for that person that has you stumped for the holidays, provided they have a sense of humour.

    Amazing.
    If you are familiar with the website (http://www.theoatmeal.com/) then you will LOVE this book. Including 25 pages of never-seen-before comics with 160 pages of comical delights straight from the site, this book is for people that love laughing by themselves.     Oatmeal wins!
    I can't seem to remember where I first saw this guy's comic, but all I know is I burst out in laughter from day one. This is a great collection of his work.

    Makes me want to punch a dolphin!
    "5 Very Good Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in the Mouth (And Other Useful Guides)" is based off The Oatmeal - a website (http://theoatmeal.com/) with funny comic strips illustrating anecdotes and useful guides, and then some. I promise you, you will grin, giggle, chortle, chuckle, cackle, snicker, smirk, laugh, keel over, or in one variation or another, have a great time with every page. Although the drawings are sometimes a little too simplistic, it adds to the charm of the collection and never sucks the hilarity out of the content. This is definitely a great recommendation for anyone humourous enough to take the cheeky jokes in stride.
