    Love it!!
    I got this book for my birthday from my sister and I love it! I've only made a couple of the apple pies so far, but the book is so easy to read and the pictures are stunning. There are even tips and FAQs that are really helpful. Each recipe is so delicious looking and the ones I've tried turn out amazing!

    I WISH I could love this book!
    I made my husband hunt high and low for this book after seeing a demo in Wiliams Sonoma. While I agree that she has some amazing combinations and fabulous recipes and I do turn to this book for inspiration over and over, my problem with it is that there is a lot of mistakes, if you don't have a pretty good knowledge of baking to start with I'm afraid you will be left with a lot of 'failed' recipes. Prehaps it's an editing thing or the recipes weren't tried when cut down from larger size. But having said all that, I have created some amazing things from this book... just find it frustrating at times.

    Wanda is the BEST!
    I had the luck of working in a cafe in younger years that retailed Wanda's delectable morsels. If you haven't savoured some yourself, head on down to her cafe in Yorkville. If you can't make it...you NEED the book. Wanda introduces pie making essentials that give crust - the winning touch. Her ingredients and combinations are worthy of the best of tables. Hers is not for the jello coolwhip lovers...its for real desert afficionados! If you really enjoy creating remarkable desserts now and again with the best - not a daily course of ricotta mixed with cocoa kind as can be found in some diet books - this is THE BOOK. Bon Appetit! And thank you thank you thank you Wanda for sharing your prized recipes.

About the Author

Wanda Beaver''s love of baking began at an early age. She baked her first pie when she was nine using cherries picked from her family''s half-acre fruit-filled paradise. Since that first sour cherry pie, which is still her favorite, she hasn''t looked back.

Born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario, in the heart of Canada''s prime fruit-growing area, she pushed her passion for baking aside in favor of more "serious" career aspirations. During her fourth year at the Ontario College of Art, a freshly baked pie for a friend led to her first commercial account. By graduation, she was delivering so many pies, she put her art career on hold (temporarily, she thought) to open a small bakery.

Fifteen years later, Wanda has 20 employees, two retail locations, and more than enough customers to keep her busy baking pies, cookies, cakes, and other sweets.
