From Our Editors

One quick look on the Internet and you will soon realize how many different Web sites are available. Some are done professionally while others are a little more ragged, but the goal is always the same - to get as many hits on your site as possible. With 101 Ways to Promote your Web Site, readers will learn streamlined strategies which can be implemented in just one day to get your site back on the viewing track. In addition, Susan Sweeney teaches you how to plan for the long term by using templates, e-mail, links and online advertising.

From the Publisher

"Increasing Web site traffic takes creative planning and regular maintenance. This book outlines tools such as templates, checklists, and forms as well as techniques like using E-mail, links, and on-line advertising that will increase the number of repeat visitors and first-time hits. Strategies that can be implemented in a day, a sample maintenance and implementation schedule for site updating, and a comprehensive list of search engines will be useful to beginning and experienced webmasters. Also included is a personal password for accessing a private companion Web site filled with Web site promotion news."

About the Author

This book is an excellent source for both novice and professional alike. There is however a problem as the Second Edition is available and has 120 more pages of information that is important to users interested in E-Commerce, or just plain narsasistic.

A very well rounded and easy to understand book on web promotion strategies that gets people started on the right foot. People should read it even before they design their web pages - regardless of whether they wish to take an active roll in the promotion of their sites. We know that client understanding makes a substantial difference in the success of a promotion plan. I wish all my customers would read this book so they could understand why we ask them to make certain changes to their pages… read more
