Wereling #1 Wounded

by Stephen Cole

Penguin Young Reader Group | February 1, 2005 | Trade Paperback

Kate Folan comes from a family of werewolves. She'll only become fully 'wolf herself when she mates with a male werewolf. But she vows that will never happen. The last thing she wants is to give in to her evil heritage.
Then she meets Tom Anderson. Tom is a wereling-a werewolf who retains his humanity even in his wolf form. He was "turned" by Kate's mother, who chose wisely.
Tom and Kate can't help falling for each other. But if they give in to their feelings, Kate will become the thing she hates most. Unless they can find a cure. . . .

WOW! This book was not what I expected it to be. It was exciting and at some points a bit scary, I had a hard time to put it down. I read it in about one day... while on vacation! I even skipped a nice fire under the stars to go to bed early and curl up under the blankets to read. Wereling kept me at the edge of my seat, so many twists and turns and the action scenes where intense. Lots of different concepts and unique additions to the werewolf myth. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Book one and three I can find in almost any bookstore I walk into. this book however you can only find online in the used books area. WHY!? it really in the oddest thing. but just a word for anyone thinking for reading these books, book 2 is hard to find.

    I couldn't put it down!

Yesterday I was sick with the stomach flu and couldn't leave my bed. So I picked up this book from my pile and started reading. Oh my gosh was it ever good! It was just non-stop action from chapter one. The characters were great, the story line was easy to follow and there were so many twists and turns I just couldn't stop reading. I finished it in a day and I'm anxious to read the rest of the trilogy.

this is a very good book
to tell the truth i like how a guy wrote for a girls perspective. she was still tough but delicate and Kate always uses her sex appeal to her advantage. smart girl. when I write i always have that but I find in other books girl hero's are just tough and sarcastic.
another thing was Toms personality seemed real, so that helped to bring me closer into the book. the hole concept was weaved together so realistically.
Stephen Cole always delivers a diverse thought to the whole ware wolf concept. There should definitely be a movie on this one.
