I sell plants and seeds for a living, and I recommend this book to all my customers. I bought my paperback copy five years ago, I use it every day and it is in great shape. If I could only keep one of my 75+ gardening books, without a doubt, this would be it! Whether you buy this book for yourself or as a very special gift it will be one of the most useful and enjoyable purchases you could make. Can you tell I just LOVE this book!

I had a Sunset New Western Garden Book and used it so much that it fell apart! I received a new one at Christmas 1999 and am so pleased to find that it now has tips and a lot more plants than in my book from 1979. I have ordered one for my son in Ontario and hope he and his wife will enjoy it as much as I do. Greetings from Paula Taylor in Mill Bay BC
