Rachel Robinson is a librarian at the University of Aukland in New
Zealand. Prim and proper, she hides a dark secret from those around
her. When she was 17, she gave up her baby boy for adoption. The
guilt continues to haunt her.
Devin Freedman is heavy metal guitarist in a world-famous rock
band, yet is stunned when Rachel doesn't recognize him, and
continues to disapprove of him, despite his laying on the heavy
charm. Giving up his rock-star career to get away from the drugs
and alcohol, Devin is looking for a fresh start as a university
student. One that does NOT include a prissy librarian who dresses
like June Cleaver.
Both each have trust issues to overcome. But the other is the type
of person that they could never imagine themselves with.
The two couldn't be more different. Yet, they can't stay away from
each other! Add in a goth librarian, and a boy that Rachel thinks
is her long-lost son, and things are really heating up in NZ!
This is the first book from Bliss (great romance name) that I have
read. She had me crying near the end, and her characters are flawed
and believable, but still cool enough that you want to know them
more. A great, easy read. I finished it in one lazy Sunday.
