    It was interesting to discover that material needs are not at the heart of poverty but is an assumption placed on the poor by others. Psychological factors such as shame, lack of power and self-esteem play a greater role in the ongoing cycle of poverty. This book offers insight into assumptions placed upon the poor and alternative methods to help break the cycle of poverty.
