I'm the Waste Diversion Education Coordinator for Halton Region (Ontario). I highly recommend this great book for children, parents, elementary school teachers and librarians. I appreciate the use of actual waste management terminology (like MRF -- materials recovery facility), great illustrations showing various Blue Boxes and Blue Bins, collection vehicles and recycling processing technology. Although simplistic, the story is pretty good as well. It is very clear this book was written with a true understanding of municipal waste management practices. A good addition to any library or for that child with a passion for recycling and protecting our earth!

This book is packed with information on recycling; something we should all be doing as much as possible. It is a book which can be enjoyed by young and old alike and gives us an idea of how much humans use and throw away. Tiana's little adventure teaches her where the materials go after they are picked up by the recycle truck and what they are used for. This book is a great educational tool and should be in homes, schools and public libraries for all to read and benefit from. Sabbithry did an excellent job in researching her project!
