The main characters are enjoyable, there is character development
with the main character who at first is just a big guy with an
attitude. The side kicks add humor and a little comedy, the setting
is great with many references to the GreyHawk War and Iuz. The
Adventure in the mountain follows close to the module, for those
that have played it before. I could easily imagine the players
sitting around the table talking and working to over come this one
particular encounter. The combat was well written, being
descriptive and easy to visualize. The story moves along
nicely.
I would have liked to see a few more Greyhawk people and races,
mentioned or encountered, but maybe there is a licensing issue here
concerning specific characters. I didn't like the riverboat portion
of the story but it was short and easy to forget.
All in all I really like this book and would recommend it for
players, Dm's and fantasy buff's.
