This novel in paticular is filled with betrayal, resentment, unwanted lust and possesiveness. Wihtney is a strong- headed women who demands that she marries her childhood like, while Clayton who is stubborn can't help but make her his. They both collide in a romantic tradegy of false rumors and untold sadness. The story had the power to captivate you, to bring you into a whole different world. I strongly recommend this novel, for Judith is one amazing author. So, despite all the negative things listed above, doesn't it compel you to want to know how it ends? To see for yourself if Whitney and Clayton have their happy ever after.

    Corny But Oh So Cute

Let me just start off by saying that I don't generally enjoy historical romances. I can read a few here and there but, I never actually like them very much because of repetition, 2D characters and a very predictable plot line.

Now I'm going to say that Whitney, My Love had absolutely none of those flaws. From beginning to the very, very, VERY end, I was constantly intrigued and wanting to know more about the two lovely lead characters. They had so much depth and so much personality that I often wondered if these were actual characters from a romance.

The plot line may seem a little corny and cliche but McNaught really does make it her own and therefore, makes this a spectacular read for any girl looking for a good love story. Another thing I thoroughly enjoyed about this particular romance was that it wasn't all butterflies and candy. The characters are far from perfect and seem to enjoy hurting one another quite expertly. It made me angry, frustrated and at the same time, happy. Only few books can ever make me feel all those emotions towards the characters and generally, those books leave quite an impression on me.

A highly recommended read for those looking for classic romance minus the cliche.

I had read this novel several years ago, and absolutely fell in love with it. It is the first JM novel that I have read and have read every novel of hers since then. I own a copy of this book and still read it from page to page. I love absolutely everything about it. It has a romantic male lead in Clayton, and Whitney is absolutely delightful. The two characters are far from perfect, but that is what makes the reader fall in love with them and their story. If I had to choose my one favourite romance novel, this would be it.

This was my first time reading a novel by Judith McNaught. I immediately fell in love with the story and characters from the first page! There were so many wonderful moments, I just couldn't put the book down. It was filled with such intense emotion I found myself laughing out loud and racked with tears all in the same chapters.

Judith McNaught is a gem and I would recommend Whitney my Love to anyone who wants a story about a feisty young lady, and a ravishly handsome rake! Enjoy!!!

Along with Almost Heaven, this is one of the greatest romance novels ever! I loved the characters, the plot, the setting - everything. This is definitely one you will want to keep and re-read over and over and over and over again.

This was an amazing book! I typically don't read romance novels but saw it in the store and it looked pretty good. Once I started, I couldn't put the book down. It was an amazing book, the characters lept off the pages and if you had to put the book down it left you wondering what the characters would do next. I hope that Judith McNaught writes more books pertaining to these characters. It's a definite must read!

Though it has been several years since I read Whitney My Love, it still is one of my favourite books. Whitney is a headstrong young woman who is sent away in dsigrace after making a fool of herself over a local boy. When she returns she is a London sensation and set on capturing her old love. Unfortunately, her father accepts a duke's proposal for her hand. Whitney is set against the marriage; the duke is set on making her fall in love with him. Although, the book does have some predictable pitfalls, it is still well worth the read.

If you measure a book by how many times you read it, then Judith McNaught's are the best. Each tells the story of one of the Westmoreland brothers. These are historicals, set in Regency England, but we're not talking light, fluffy, monthly Signets here. These are unforgettable love stories to read again and again, complete with steamy love scenes and a touch of humour. You can't miss in recommending these to anyone who enjoys historical romance. Similar to Mary Balogh and some of Catherine Coulter's. McNaught also writes contemporary stories.
