I enjoyed Wicked Ties a lot, after reading some of Shayla Blacks other books I wanted to give this series a try and so far so good. I thought the concept was solid if a bit repetitive wih the sex stuff, I also liked he characters a lot as well and I thoguht Deke was great which makes me excited for his book. Overall great erotic romance check it out. :0)

This book was mind blowing in all the ways possible ... Shayla Black is on top of my top 3 list of best erotic romance authors :) the book is full of action suspence love and hardcore sex :)

Even through the interview he has her acting like a submissive. Though it all takes a wild turn when someone starts taking shots at her. Now with Jack being a bodyguard he guards her. She reveals that this has been going on for a while, that someone has been stalking her. Taking no chances Jack rushes her off to a club where he has a friend that would help them. Alyssa Devereaux , a stripper, gladly helps Morgan change into some of her clothes and gives her a wig, so she looks like Alyssa. Jack whisks her out of the club and to his grandfathers cabin that’s in the middle of nowhere. Jack calls his friend Deke , who is also a bodyguard, for help with this situation. While there they start to grow feelings for each other, though both of them are fighting it. Morgan wants to have a normal sex life, she can’t see herself being a submissive. Though is she already to far gone into his world to ever pull out? Jack feels like he’s losing control of his life with her, which he does not like, is it because there’s some much more going on that he won’t say to her? This is the first book in the Wicked lover series. This book is pretty predictable plot wise, though there’s so much action, raw emotion and lust it gets you coming back for more. The heartfelt story you hear from both Morgan and Jack will make you fall in love with them. Shayla Black did a very good job keeping me entertained!

This is the first book in the Wicked Lovers series. Morgan is a talk show host researching a new story about BDSM. She hooks up with Jack Cole, bodyguard by day, Dominant by night, willing to give her some insight into the world. Both have more to their story. Morgan is trying to out-run a stalker and Jack is trying to put his plan of revenge against his former best friend into action. Their first meeting turns dangerous when Morgan gets shot at. Jack’s bodyguard instincts immediately come into play, he feels this overwhelming need to ensure her safety. Both cannot deny the attraction they feel towards each other making it difficult for Morgan to keep her secret fantasies of being dominated at bay. She knows that Jake could make every one of those fantasies a reality. Under his protection Morgan throws out her inhibitions as Jack takes her on a sexual journey of self discovery. Neither of them are prepared for the feelings that are developing between them. This book was fantastic. It has mystery, suspense, a great plot twist and of course out of this world BDSM scenes. This book also introduces you to Deke, the lead in the second book of the series, Decadent (which is on my top 10 list for steamy reads.)

This steamy book will keep you reading all night long. Short on story, but burning with some very sexy scenes, it won't disappoint. While the plot (what there is) is predictable, who cares? My only complaint is that Morgan, the heroine, gets a little annoying with her self-doubt and insincere protestations. C'mon, we know you want it...and so do we, so quit complaining and let the fun begin girl. I will definitely be checking out more of Shayla Black's books.

Everyone looks for something different when they read erotica. (Those of us who actually read erotica - or admit to reading it- that is. *g*) Often times we have to forsake some of our wish list to get other needs (so to speak) met. Shayla Black's novel Wicked Ties surprised me- in a good way. Not that the plot actually matters, but the novel tells the story of Morgan O'Malley, host of a cable talk show called 'Turn Me On'. During the course of research for a show on Dominance and submission she meets Master J aka Jack. Naturally he's a total stud and although his reputation in the D/s scene is impeccable, what Morgan doesn't know is that he's arranged to meet her because of some ridiculous revenge he's plotted against someone from his past with whom Morgan is connected. Oh, Morgan's got a stalker, too. And Jack just happens to be a bodyguard. Truly- the plot is convoluted and silly and has holes you could drive a truck through. The novel succeeds despite the plot though because Ms. Black writes very good sex scenes. And really, come on, isn't that why we read erotica? Jack senses that despite her denials (she's only doing research, after all), Morgan is really intensely curious about what it would be like to submit to a man. It doesn't take long for Jack to whisk Morgan off to his isolated cabin in the swamp (for her protection, of course) and start to tutor her on the finer points of being submissive. Your enjoyment of this book will ultimately depend on whether or not you are interested in this sort of sexual relationship and whether or not you want to read graphic sex scenes. If either of these things intrigue you- you could do far worse than this book. I found it ...um...gratifying.

My attention was captured on the first page. This book has everything; fast-paced action, well developed characters, an emotionally charged storyline as well as wicked eroticism. Wicked as in hot, steamy and sinful. Did I mention that this author goes on my favourites list.

An erotic romance with an actual storyline! Usually it's all sex & no story but this wasn't too bad. Good pace, edgy with a good ending. I liked this better than Lora Leigh. The author is worth a second read on her next novel.

I was hooked on buying this book from an excerpt that I read where Jack kept asking Morgan "Why are you so afraid of your sexuality?" And throughout this excerpt he kept going back to this question. I even emailed Shayla and begged her to send me this book immediately so I could read it NOW! I ended up ordering online immediately (pre-order) and it was my lucky week because in no time I received this book and devoured it. My heart started racing because I was now Morgan and OMG depending on how you were brought up - she thinks it's wrong to feel all these explicit fantasies in her mind and she can take care of herself. She doesn't need anybody dominating her EVER! I love independent heroines and Morgan is certainly that so it makes it really easy to feel everything she feels and thinks. Master J (Jack) knows differently. This is a sizzling HOT read and I loved it. My heart got a work-out at several parts of this book. I won't go into detail with the stalker and all because it is said before me here. Another really HOT part of this book is Deke! Woohoo!!! He has to get his story!! Please~! Pretty Please~?! You don't want to miss Master J and Morgan!
