I am a teacher at an Ontario middle school. This book, with its stories, games, tips, hints, and lists really gave me a wonderful overview of how to instill in my children and students the belief that their opinions are important and that their actions can create real change. I will definitely be recommending this book to parents in September.

    As a Mother...

    Sally J.

As a mother I would call myself a teacher. And that's exactly what this book does for the teacher/parent in all of us. Craig and Marc take you into their lives as children and explore the possibility to get everyone involved in social action. Filled with other stories from people like Sarah Polley and Jane Goodall (she's the lady that lives with the chimpanzees), you get other insight from others that have raised children, and are taking part in social activism.

At the heart of it, it's a simple philosophy for all parents: Help teach your children to care not only about the others around them, but also the world around them.
