I must confess that Megan is a work colleague and I would probably not have read this book if I did not know her personnally. In addition, this is not the type of book I would normally read. To my great surprise, I was not able to put this book down from the moment I start reading it. Despite her young age, her inexperience at writing, and the depressing topic that cancer is today, Megan captivated my attention from cover to cover. She was able to convey not only her courage and tenacity in combating this nasty disease, but she also manages to provide very personal and emotional details of what it feels to be a young cancer patient, how one see the world during this difficult time, and how interpersonal relationship is an essential component of being human. Her writing style is simple but very a propos which makes reading quite enjoyable. She has an amasing capacity to provide colorfull and detailed description of complex issues such as fear, pain, and love. In addition to demystifying cancer, it also provided me with tangible positive messages on lfe and love in general making this book even more interesting and surprising. I loved the quotations that she uses to start every chapter. They made me think each time, and reflect on my own life to date. I am looking forward to go back and read it for a second, third and fourth time because I am certain that there ismore to it then the first read. I would strongly recommend it to a broad range of people from all ages, all walk of life as I believe it can be a feel good exercise for everyone.
