About the Author

Julian Armstrong is food editor of the Montreal Gazette, Quebec's largest English-language newspaper, and has been cited as one of our finest food historians and an authority on Quebec's past and present. She has been reporting on food in Canadian magazines and newspapers for over 40 years and is the recipient of numerous journalism awards in both the United States and Canada. While Armstrong spends a large part of her time tasting her way around the province, she makes her home in Montreal.
