At the command of Queen Elizabeth, Skye marries the cruel Duc de Beaumont de Jaspre. Although her new life is horrid at first, Skye transforms it with her hot-blooded desires--only to be shaken with the news that her beloved former husband may be alive in Algiers. Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best historical romance series out there I started reading these over 30 yrs ago, I am not a big fan anymore of historical romance but this series is the best going. It has one of the strongest female character I have ever encountered. Beatrice Small writes a brillant novel, strong characters, and is very real in her depictions of history. I would reccomend these books and this author to anyone. I had this whole series ( hardcover) carried it around with me from place to place for over 20 yrs, reread them lots of times. Loaned em to a friend and wham they were gone. But thanks to Chapters I am finally building the series back up. Will take me awhile as there are about 7 books per series. So if you like this genre of books a def buy. Happy reading!!!
