About the Author

David Alan Taylor, born in 1943 in Long Beach, Calif., was educated at California State College and received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine. Taylor is a psychologist who wrote the book Mind, published in 1982. He is interested in discovering the processes by which the human brain works and duplicating these processes in computers. Taylor has been married twice and has two children.
