The first two chapters are just filler. On page 8 there is a block of code that is repeated again on page 11 (for your convenience). I would rather have had a book half the size for half the price. The rest of the book isn't much better. It is all over the place with examples and very little explanation of the syntax. The topics are not very well organized.
