Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good I finally read the last book to this series even though this book has been on my shelf for over a year. It was worth the wait, I needed to be in the mood for this one and I picked a good time to finally read it. It was a very good ending to this series even though there were some things I did not like I am happy with how things have ended. I have really liked his series waaaayyyyy more than Mortal Instruments and hopefully when book six comes out for it, it really will be the ending to the series. :0)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Ending to The Infernal Devices The Clockwork Princess is the perfect book to end the series. Finally after 2 other books, this book reveals all the answers to many of the questions I had. Cassandra Clare didn't miss a beat with this last book. It leaves you wanting another Infernal Devices book to come out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible. Cassandra Clare has never let me down. The last of the Clockwork Trilogy left me heart broken: First because it ends the trilogy and second...well, you'll have to read it yourself. Well written, you cannot help but love the characters even more than when you were first introduced to them. Nor can you choose between Will or Jem anymore than Tessa can. You won't regret reading this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To Amazing For Words - 10/5 stars -No alot more then that. Clockwork Princess didn't disappoint me at all. I Totally Loved it. It was way more of a five star, but because I only have five, that's what i give it. I don't even know how to describe it. It was way too amazing to put into words. It really brought my emotions out and the characters...wow, the characters were totally amazing. They were powerful and just wow. It was amazing, powerful, thrilling and a whole heck of a lot more. It was the perfect ending to the series and I just totally loved it. It was sad, happy, and perfect. It was one of the best endings to the series I have ever read. I'm totally gonna miss the series so much. Better then amazing series. :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy making end to the series Early on into Clockwork Princess you come across the following passage: “Tessa craned her head back to look at Will. “You know that feeling,” she said, “when you are reading a book, and you know that it is going to be a tragedy; you can feel the cold and darkness coming, see the net drawing tight around the characters who live and breathe on the pages. But you are tied to the story as if being dragged behind a carriage and you cannot let go or turn the course aside.” For me this quote set the tone for the entire novel. You are in a constant state of anxiety wondering what is going to happen to these poor characters you’ve grown to love so much. Being the third (and final) book in an amazing series, there’s really not much I can say about Clockwork Princess without giving too much away. I will mention that I enjoyed the character development that goes on here – particularly that of more secondary characters, like Sophie, who really comes into her own and Cecily, who is just like a female Will. The complex relationship that is Tessa-Jem-Will is still going strong but like the first two books this is most definitely a love triangle done right. Unlike other books it’s actually a triangle and the line connecting Jem and Will is probably the most touching of them all. I’m happy that Clare gave their friendship as much weight as their romantic feelings for Tessa. I also think that Cassandra Clare has done the best possible job of making sure everyone is happy. And by everyone I mean the readers. There is something for everyone here, no matter what outcome you are rooting for going in. I read Clockwork Princess with my heart in my throat, unable to focus on anything else until I reached it’s conclusion. However it was also one of those books I found myself purposefully slowing down for. Not wanting it to end. It was the perfect mixture of urgency and excitement and it will forever remain one of my favourite series. Recommendation: A fantastic and action filled end to a breath taking series. Clockwork Princess is the perfect farewell to a cast of unforgettable characters This and other reviews at More Then Just Magic (http://morethanjustmagic.org)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect ending to the best series of the century! Clare's innate gift of weaving words together so beautifully. Clare's craft in writing is beyond brilliance, perhaps even out of this world - with Clare's work you don't even have to write a review to promote her books because people already know she's capable of such excellence. It is evident on all her books, in every page and page, of Clare's absolute care for writing, her characters, and the extent of research to create these plots and worlds. Tessa's character is so rejuvenating and inspiring - you rarely see such a strong character in books nowadays and with her character, her wise soul has inspired me to see the world in such selflessness, honor, and absolute love - also, her devotion to books is something many of us could relate to (I for sure can). Will, oh Will, you have taken the name Prince Charming and made it your name. I could think of a thousand broken fictional characters but none of which that I care so much as I have on William Herondale - his unconditional love, devotion, and care for others despite his years of restraining himself of such pleasures and freedom. Will, your love for Tessa makes me believe that such love could exist - despite fictional. James (Jem) Carstairs, I may not hear how you play the violin but your very being is a symphony in every lives you have touched from Will to Tessa to everyone else in the Institute and even us, the readers. Despite your physical fragility, you are such a strong willed character that I could only aspire to be - from your patience on Will until your undying love for him. Charlotte, I wish to be a mother like you. Henry, I just really love you. Sophie, your very name is wisdom itself. Cecily, thank you for loving Will despite all the years of absence and building back your family together. Gideon and Gabriel, oh you swoon-worth brothers and Jessamine, all you have ever wanted was to love and to be loved - I feel so much for your character. If someone were to ask me to describe the Infernal Devices series, I would say it is beauty in all its form. Rarely would I come across a novel or series with such capacity to render me speechless. The Infernal Devices series will surely, with no doubt, stand the test of time and someday become a Classical novel that will inspire so many lives as it has inspired us. Thank you, Cassandra Clare, thank you. "There is no great secret. You endure what is unbearable, and you bear it." -Ciockwork Princess That said, Ave atque vale to the series that has touched every fragment of my soul, tugged at every strings of my heart, left me sobbing like a child and hopeful of such great, undying, and unconditional love. Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Incredible Journey The end of Clockwork Prince left me frustrated on account of the fact it did not end the way I wanted it. I am absolutely in love with Will Herondale, much more than Jem, so the end of Clockwork Prince was a huge shock for me. I could not WAIT to lay my hands on this book, and it did not disappoint me. I would like to say though, that in this book, Tessa did irritate me more than once. She seems to have become much more impulsive, and it really bothered me how she couldn't make up her mind about who she truly loved. The epilogue was something that I didn't really like. I'm sure many people loved it but I feel it should've ended with Will's death, and that's that. I also think Jem coming back was too much. No wonder Tessa was so confused as to who she loved.. Overall, I found the book fantastic. I could not put it down. I highly suggest reading this series, I find it much better than The Mortal Instruments. I only wish they epilogue was different.. Something about Jem just turns me off.

Rated out of 5 by from I love Cassandra Clare's work, the world she has created is filled with such intrigue and tugs on your heartstrings. I love this series the most, mainly because I have a thing for the Victorian era and add a love triangle with mystery, I am set. This book is the conclusion to the Infernal Devices. If you've read the first two of the series or even are looking for a new read, the book is great. The characters all come together to fill out the best roles they could have, as with any good story there is tragedy. Always it's well-written, is sappy and full of adventure. Lots of questions are finally answered. I love the book, it was the best, I was terrified to read it. make sure you read all of it, including the end! I think, this is the best series I have ever read, especially since I am picky with my books.

Rated out of 5 by from I read the book in a day. I could not put put it down! It was so beautifully written and as usual, it was a beautiful, sad, heartbreaking, funny and exciting story. I'm saddened that this is the last instalment in The Infernal Devices series because of the exciting, fun characters and the research that Cassandra Clare incorporated into the book to build 18th century London and Wales around the reader. Bravo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing conclusion to a phenomenal series! I picked this book up yesterday, and finished it today. Stopping reading it so I could go to bed last night was one of the hardest things I've ever done. The story was wonderful, the characters heartbreaking and angst-ridden and so full of life and love ... and the conclusion! I can't remember the last time I read such a satisfying ending to a series. Every turn of the page made it better and better. Brava, Ms. Clare!

About the Book

Danger intensifies for the Shadowhunters as the "New York Times"-bestselling Infernal Devices trilogy comes to a close. The clock is ticking. Everyone must choose. Passion. Power. Secrets. Enchantment.

Read from the Book

Clockwork Princess 1 A DREADFUL ROW Marry on Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for crosses, Friday for losses, and Saturday for no luck at all. —Folk rhyme “December is a fortuitous time for a marriage,” said the seamstress, speaking around her mouthful of pins with the ease of years of practice. “As they say, ‘When December snows fall fast, marry, and true love will last.’ ” She placed a final pin in the gown and took a step back. “There. What do you think? It is modeled after one of Worth’s own designs.” Tessa looked at her reflection in the pier glass in her bedroom. The dress was a deep gold silk, as was the custom for Shadowhunters, who believed white to be the color of mourning, and would not marry in it, despite Queen Victoria herself having set the fashion for doing just that. Duchesse lace edged the tightly fitted bodice and dripped from the sleeves. “It’s lovely!” Charlotte clapped her hands together and leaned forward. Her brown eyes shone with delight. “Tessa, the color looks so fine on you.” Tessa turned and twisted in front of the mirror. The gold put some much-needed color into her cheeks. The hourglass corset shaped and curved her everywhere it was supposed to, and the clockwork angel around her throat comforted her with its ticking. Below it dangled the jade pendant that Jem had given her. She had lengthened the chain so
