PILGRIM''S CIDER Throughout the fall season, this is a delicious and dependable punch to prepare. To save time, make it ahead, then warm it up just before serving. Guests will love it! 2 cups water 1/2 cup (packed) dark brown sugar 1 teaspoon grated orange zest 1 teaspoon coriander seeds 1 teaspoon ground allspice 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg 2 teaspoons whole cloves 4 cinnamon sticks (3 inches each) 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice 2 quarts apple cider, warmed Cinnamon sticks, for garnish 1. Place the water, brown sugar, orange zest, and spices in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. 2. Place a sieve or colander lined with cheesecloth over a large prewarmed punch bowl. Strain the spice mixture through the cheesecloth. Add the lemon juice and apple cider to the punch bowl, and stir. 3. Serve in punch cups, garnished with a cinnamon stick. Servings: 20 punch cups THE CHILDREN''S HOUR This is a really sweet, exceedingly delicious punch appreciated mostly by children. It''s perfect for a birthday party or in a separate punch bowl for young guests at a gathering of family and friends. 2 quarts Hawaiian Punch, chilled 2 quarts cranberry juice cocktail, chilled 2 quarts cherry soda, chilled 1 pint strawberry sherbet, softened Combine the Hawaiian Punch, cranberry juice, and cherry soda in a punch bowl.
