Separated by war, Matthew and Sabina long to be together. To find
her, Matthew will have to cross the Iron Curtain into East Germany,
without reasonable hope of returning to the free world. While
searching the countryside for Sabina and her father, Matthew is
pursued by the dangerous Gustav von Schmundt, section chief for the
Stasi. Matthew finally finds the beautiful Sabina and presents her
with a rose, a symbol of their deep and undying love.
Now Matthew, Sabina, and the baron must escape to West Germany
before Gustav discovers their location. The borders are watched
with hateful eyes, and the Berlin wall appears impenetrable. Only
by relying on their strong faith in God will they find the courage
to attempt an escape to freedom.
