Rated 5 out of 5 by from A darker time in the Hollows From page one this book grabs you and doesn't let go. Kim's writing gets better and better with each book and this one is no different. The subtle and sarcastic humour remains, but there is a darker feel to the book as a whole. I found the end difficult to read and the tears flowed freely for most of the last two chapters. Harrison expands upon demonology and brings some even creepier characters into the mix. She does away with a few familiar faces, and I love that she not afraid to do that. Some authors can't. Future plots are hinted at and older plots are constantly referenced. You have to keep up to date on Rachel's life if you are going to read this series. If there is one negative thing to say about Kim, it's that she often makes references that are somewhat obscure and you have to really work to recall who or what she is talking about. But, like I said, the book is excellent. Another jewel for the collection. I hope she never stops.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For a Few Tears More ****Contains Spoilers**** For a Few Demons More is the 5th book in the Hollows Series. This book starts off with Newt possessing Rachel. She gets her off but desecrates her church and meets another demon, named Minias (Newt’s handler), who then requests Rachel’s help. Rachel is still in possession of the focus. A were artefact that can change the balance between the Vamps and Weres. They are both looking for it, as well as Trent. Trent is back and asks Rachel to head up security of this wedding. They realize that Al is back, and possessing a body of a witch that is in the ever after. Al is walking freely on earth and Rachel must stay one step ahead of him. Picasary gets out of jail and it was Rachel who put him in there. He’s very angry at her and asks Ivy and Kisten to kill Rachel. This book was amazing except for a major character being killed (and that's why i gave it 4 stars). I fell that Kim spent the last few books building a wonderful character which Rachel had major chemistry with. I felt his death wasn’t justified and the story could have been continued without his death. I cried like crazy. I also felt unsatisfied because why don’t know who killed him.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sad...but awesome as always Another great saga for Rachel, and this one really gets you thinking that there is more to her than meets the eye. Now being asked to create a summoning name, there has to be more to her than just an earth witch. I was totally sad about the death, but I won't go any further into that and spoil it. I will really miss that character :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! Okay... I loved the story except for ONE part. I will not state that part for it will ruin the book for you. Let's just say that I finished the book yesterday and I'm STILL emotionally upset. I'm not sure where Kim Harrison is taking this story, but I am along for the ride none-the-less. I just never saw it coming so I'm shocked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most emotional of the series For a few demons more is the fifth book of Kim's Hollows series. We are introduced to Minias, Newt's demon familiar, who seconds as her keeper. Unlike Al, he is not summonded often at all, only when he needs to clean up Newts' messes. Which is the case when Newt takes over Rachel's mind. Rachel is also called in by the FIB to look at the deaths of Weres that are being called suicides when they are actually murders. The IS is trying to cover it up though. The Focus is a major part in this installment of the series. Also, there is the death of a character that almost made me cry...seriously. The best book of the series by far! A must must read for anyone who has read the other five books!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Fifth Book in the Series!!! Excellent! I can't decide which book in the series I liked the most! Great action, great scenes, great thinking by the main character... I can't ask for better. Rachel and her friends find a lot more trouble in this novel than the previous four, but this one was the best. Rachel endures more than she ever had in this novel, and she and her circle of friends have no choice but to deal with each catastrophe as they show up. The climax is gripping, the ending sad, but definitely not finished. Rachel has this way of thinking, of acting, of reacting, that is truly unique - a character all her own. Sure you can compare her to a mix of characters (Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton and Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich), but that mix of characters is what makes Rachel unique. I have yet to read a character that can measure up to her. She swears that she does her best thinking and problem solving when in a panick. She is a 'fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants' kinda gal and I believe it! In every novel, she's proven that, but in this one, it was by far the best. Rachel faces each problem head-on, unlike her business partner, Ivy, who plans everything with each contingency in mind. 'Ooooo, Doogie', I can't wait for the next novel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow another great book! I don't know how Kim Harrison does it, but I'm just intrigued by how well she writes and how the ending of all her books are well thought out. The endings are never rushed like other books. I loved reading this book, it's worth paying more for the hardcover rather than waiting for paperback. I just loved this book and I recommend anyone to start reading her series!!
