From Our Editors

Together for the first time, this ode to Italy from a veteran traveller and writer is a sensuous treat. Written by Frances Mayes, Bella Tuscany: Box Set consists of Under the Tuscan Sun: At Home in Italy and Bella Tuscany: The Sweet Life in Italy. The book offers romantic and sumptuous descriptive prose of life in the valleys of Italy. There are fantastic sections on the wine and cookery culture, with recipes included, as well as beautiful passages of the rich lands and colourful inhabitants. Mayes has a definite lyrical ability and it flourishes with her expressive language.
