Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heroic Effort Like most baby boomers, I am familiar with (and raised upon) the likes of heroes such as Batman, Spiderman and Indiana Jones. It was fascinating to discover the roots of my favourite characters and to see the history of the action hero as he developed from the two dimensional, two-fisted pulp adventurer of the past to the three dimensional flawed character he is today. Some of the old pulp heroes were names I'd heard somewhere before -- most were not -- but it was an engrossing book and great fun to read.
