Jim Davis was born near <_st13a_city _w3a_st="on">Fairmount, <_st13a_state _w3a_st="on">Indiana, and attended <_st13a_placename _w3a_st="on">Ball <_st13a_placetype _w3a_st="on">State <_st13a_placetype _w3a_st="on">University in <_st13a_place _w3a_st="on"><_st13a_city _w3a_st="on">Muncie, <_st13a_state _w3a_st="on">Indiana.
